How to choose the right 18650 cell

1) Capacity goal
  • If runtime is the priority, choose higher-capacity “energy” cells.
  • If power output is the priority, choose higher-discharge “power” cells.
2) Discharge requirement
  • Match the cell to your peak amps and continuous amps.
  • If you’re unsure, share your controller/motor/load details and we’ll guide you.
3) Build + safety
  • Use quality nickel, correct protection, and a properly rated BMS.
  • Ask about optional lot verification and performance testing.

Battery testing (optional, recommended for bulk)

If you’re ordering in volume, we can help reduce risk by verifying the lot before it goes into production. Testing options depend on the specific cell model and project goals.
